Throwback: Are You a Beggar?

Note: This was a long ago post (5 July 2014), I didn't want to throw it away. I will be posting it here to have a grasp of the changes in my posts.

"Once you fed an animal, you turn it into a beggar."

When you saw those animals, so cute & innocent that you might want to feed it, you ought to reconsider.

"According to a tracker, a black bear that grew up being fed by human wonders through the forest for 160 km without hunting for any food, because it is used to being fed." Once you fed an animal upon your kindness, it's equivalent to a superman losing its power, they can't even follow the natural instinct of finding food on their own.

"Are you used to being fed?" I asked myself after reading 张晓风's article 《让野生动物野》. Then I realized, I am used to being fed by the society, the culture & even the education system. As humans are warm-blooded, we have the trait of inclining towards a comfortable state & remain there. Thus, leading to the lack of critical thinking, especially about things that are usually taken as taboo due to the fact that people have different perspective & standpoint.

"The animals will follow cars to 'beg' for food, without knowing that those vehicles may kill them." We might not know that will the "generous philanthropist" that gives us our knowledge, our pride, our dignity, may actually destroy us from within. It is a fact that most students now know that they aren't going to secure a job with their bachelor's degree, or even their master's degree yet they chose to study & take out student's loan to "finance their future". People know that something is fishy, but they still do it. Why? due to our fear of standing out & our sense of belonging to the society will stop us from practicing the right things to do but not been done by the society.

We need to continuously examine our thoughts, our perceptions, and our opinions. For right might not be right and wrong might not be wrong.
